Host a house concert right in your living room. If you are a fan of live music and enjoy hosting parties, you'll be amazed at the compliments your guests will pass around after such an exciting life changing event. I will travel to your home with guitar in hand, sing my songs, meet and greet your guests and sign CD’s. This is a wonderful way to twist an average get-together into a one of a kind unforgettable evening.
I perform in three different modes, each bringing its own unique dynamic to your home. In my solo performance, I play my original music and songs that influenced me along my musical journey. I tell stories that shaped me in a fun and light hearted approach that tug on your heart strings and bring a smile to your guests. I cover everyone from Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley and George Strait to John Denver, James Taylor and Poison. This is typically a 9o minute set or two 45 minute sets split with conversation. This tends to become an intimate room where your guests are very focused on the music. I can also arrive with some friends to perform a Nashville style “in the round” concert where your guests can experience a variety of styles and stories. The cool thing about this is the spontaneous interaction that unravels as the show proceeds. It usually creates an intense listening environment cause nobody wants to miss what might happen next among the performers. It’s like any night at any given Nashville songwriter venue. I perform with the acoustic band also. It is similar to the solo performance but you get band mate interaction and more of a lively atmosphere. The band is ideal for large basement concerts or backyards when the weather is mild.
Traditionally, coffee and cookies are served before and during intermission as your guests mingle in your home. Think of it as a coffee house setting where the room is quiet with anticipation as the music plays. When the concert has concluded, I enjoy a meet and greet with your guests, sign CD's and talk about the songs.
A house concert is a very enlightening experience and I would highly recommend giving it a try! Most likely you have hosted a party in your home but you've never hosted a house concert! If you're leaning on the idea, let’s talk about the details of your house party. Give me a call anytime! It’s a very simple process but commitment, planning and a couple rows of folding chairs are everything. We can do some simple negotiating on the fee but for example, just twenty of your closest friends donating $10 could make it happen! You can't see a movie at that price! I'm looking forward to entertaining you and your guests in the comfort of your home.
Thank you for your continuous support!
